Our violin course covers everything from basic techniques such as keeping the bow straight and correct finger placement, to more advanced techniques such as vibrato and double stops. In addition, you will explore different musical styles, from classical music to folk and modern tunes, giving you a broad and varied musical experience. We want every lesson to be a source of inspiration and motivation.
Once you have been playing for a while and feel comfortable with your instrument, we also offer the opportunity to play in an ensemble. Playing with other musicians is a fantastic and enriching experience that develops your collaborative and listening skills. At the same time, you get to experience the collective power of music making.

For adults
We teach violin to adults, one to one with a teacher – in the daytime or in the evening. You don't need to have played before, and you can start at any time of the year. You choose lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The lessons are adapted to your level and your goals, and you can play anything from classical music to folk music and modern songs. You need a violin to practise on at home, and you can rent one from us for 150 SEK per month. You begin with a trial lesson, where the teacher gets to know you. Then, together, you find a day and time that suits you.

What the student learns
How it works
At Malmö Musikskola we believe that continuity is crucial for success in music studies.
Unlike other subjects that are naturally used in everyday life, music requires regular practice and guidance, especially at the beginning of studies.
Therefore, we offer a planned study program of 40 lessons over a year, with 17 lessons taking place in the autumn semester and 17 in the spring semester. The remaining lessons are flexibly distributed, mostly during the summer.
Our approach provides students with a stable structure and the opportunity to progress continuously, while enjoying breaks in the summer, as well as during the fall, sports, Christmas and Easter holidays. This balance ensures that each student can progress and achieve their goals without losing touch with their studies for extended periods.

Price per month
Per student, incl. VAT. The annual fee divided over twelve months. 40 lessons per year. Notice period 2 calendar months.
